Figure 8 Films was started by two long time friends Greg Underwood and Ryan Vandervegt in the summer of 2002. But the filming days date back to the late 80's. Their love for film and entertainment came from their passion for cars and high and high intense excitement.
1989 is when they first decided to "save the moment" with a low model camcorder, with which they began to produce low quality VHS tapes for their friends. By the late 90's they had a reputation for good amateur video and a huge following of local fans.
With a small budget and great drive for success the two started to form their company in late 2001 but by this time VHS was out the door and DVD's had moved in. So with their new transformation to digital production and computer based background music, they formed Figure 8 Films.
From late 2000 through 2003 they scored the Bay Area in search of the most intense footage possible and the most mind boggling car stunts they could find which gave them the smash hit "HYFEE", their first release.
